Spanish guitar music drifts through our doors at The Tapestry Tapas Bar every evening, mixing with the sound of clinking glasses and laughter from the covered garden where up to 90 guests can gather under twinkling lights. We've been part of Mortlake's fabric for over 23 years now, Jackson and Lucia transforming this corner spot at 1 Lower Richmond Road into something special - a place where Spanish and Brazilian flavors meet in ways you wouldn't expect. Our kitchen turns out proper seafood paella and pork feijoada alongside dozens of other tapas plates that keep changing with the seasons. The bar stretches along one wall, stocked with Spanish wines we've personally selected, local beers, and cocktails that complement the food rather than compete with it. Inside, mismatched furniture and colorful tiles create that lived-in feel you find in Barcelona's backstreets, while our covered garden brings its own character with weatherproof heating and enough space for proper celebrations. We've hosted everything here - wedding receptions that spill from the dining room into the garden, birthday parties where guests move between indoor and outdoor spaces as the mood takes them, corporate events where teams actually relax and connect over shared plates. The whole place is wheelchair accessible, kids are always welcome (we keep crayons behind the bar), and Mortlake station sits just a few minutes' walk away for your London friends. Our team can handle the catering whether you want a formal sit-down affair or plates of tapas circulating while people mingle. We'll even bring our food to your location if you prefer.
