Our 1912 building—originally home to the Bank of New Zealand—surrounds you with preserved wood paneling and a spectacular glass-domed atrium that floods the space with natural light during afternoon celebrations. We've created something truly distinctive here at 89-91 Gresham Street. Our 1906 horseshoe-shaped bar hangs suspended from the ceiling, while taxidermy peacocks perch among antique globes throughout the venue. Every evening, our pianists fill the space with live music that transforms corporate gatherings into something memorable, while weekend DJs blend jazz with electronic beats that keep wedding parties dancing late into the night. Our kitchen serves up hanging kebabs cooked over open flames—always a conversation starter at parties—alongside wild boar burgers and Sunday roasts that arrive on sharing platters perfect for group celebrations. Behind the bar, we pour from our collection of over 200 craft beers from around the world, mix rhubarb & ginger gin infusions, and create theatrical cocktails like our Lavender Priest, which arrives in a smoke-filled cloche. For more intimate celebrations, our Mezzanine level accommodates up to 50 guests with its own private bar and overlooks the main floor below. When you need the entire space, we can host up to 450 people for cocktails and canapés.
