The smell of freshly roasted coffee beans and wood-smoked meats hits you the moment you step through our doors at Trade Coffee on Commercial Street. We took over this old menswear supplier back in 2014 and transformed it into something special - keeping the original features that give the space character while creating comfortable spots where people love to gather. Our in-house smokery runs daily, filling the air with incredible aromas as we prepare our award-winning sandwiches. The bakery counter showcases what we've baked fresh that morning, from sourdough loaves to pastries. When you book our space for your party, you're getting access to the same kitchen that locals queue for every lunchtime - think our famous Reuben sandwich with house-smoked pastrami or the Mushrooben, our plant-based twist that converts even the most dedicated meat-eaters. The indoor space flows naturally from the coffee bar through to various seating areas we've created using the building's original layout. But the real gem is our decked terrace out back - a proper suntrap that feels miles away from the bustle of Commercial Street. We've strung lights overhead and filled it with plants, creating an outdoor room that works brilliantly for evening gatherings. Our alcohol license means we can pour craft beers, pop prosecco, and mix our signature smoked tomato Bloody Marys or pink grapefruit mimosas for your event. We handle everything from corporate gatherings to birthday parties, with full catering sorted through our kitchen. Being sandwiched between Aldgate East and Liverpool Street stations, your guests can easily find us at 45-55 Commercial Street. We've hosted everything from product launches to 50th birthdays here - the combination of great food, proper coffee, and that relaxed terrace atmosphere just works.
