About Walton Castle
The moment couples step through our ancient gates at Walton Castle, they're transported into their own private fortress for the most important day of their lives. We've been hosting weddings in this 17th-century castle since transforming it into a celebration venue, and every ceremony benefits from those sweeping views across the Bristol Channel and Somerset countryside that make guests gasp when they first arrive. Our castle sits high on the hill above Clevedon, and we're licensed to hold ceremonies in three different spaces - couples often struggle to choose between them. Some prefer exchanging vows in our historic hall with its original stone features, while others fall for the intimacy of our tower room, and many opt for outdoor ceremonies in our gardens when the weather cooperates. We accommodate wedding parties in eight double bedrooms spread throughout the castle. Five of these are our famous turret suites - each one completely self-contained with its own sofa area, toilet and shower. The remaining three bedrooms share facilities but offer the same castle character our couples love. What really sets us apart is our underground heated swimming pool - it's 10 meters long and stays warm year-round. We've watched countless wedding parties celebrate here the morning after, and our wood-fired hot tub on the terrace has become legendary for pre-wedding relaxation. There's also an exercise area for those who need to work off nervous energy. Our entertainment turret houses a fully stocked bar (we'll customize it to your preferences), plus a pool table, dartboard and table football. We don't require specific caterers - you're free to bring in whoever you want or even self-cater using our facilities. Our grounds stretch far beyond the castle walls, giving you endless possibilities for photographs and outdoor celebrations.
