About Wills Memorial Building
Standing tall at the top of Park Street, the Wills Memorial Building has been hosting Bristol's most significant gatherings since we first opened our doors. Our neo-Gothic architecture creates an atmosphere that transforms ordinary meetings and celebrations into something truly memorable. When you enter through our main entrance, you'll find yourself beneath carved stone vaulted ceilings, with a sweeping double stone staircase leading up to our event spaces. The Great Hall remains our most requested space - we can seat 800 guests theatre-style here, surrounded by carved oak paneling and leaded windows that filter natural light throughout the day. For banquets and award ceremonies, the hall's proportions create exactly the right sense of occasion. Our Reception Room on the same floor works beautifully for more intimate gatherings. We regularly host 200 guests here for dinners, drinks receptions, and networking events. The oak-paneled walls and leaded windows mirror the Great Hall's character but create a warmer, more personal atmosphere. Both rooms come equipped with projectors, PA systems, and Wi-Fi - everything runs smoothly without detracting from the historic surroundings. On the third floor, we maintain several meeting rooms with full AV equipment for conferences, lectures, and corporate gatherings. Lifts service all floors, and we've installed accessible toilets throughout the building to ensure everyone can enjoy our spaces comfortably. Being just 1.2 km from Bristol city centre means your guests can easily reach us via public transport. We've hosted everything from international conferences to exhibition launches, corporate dinners to cultural celebrations. The building's architecture does much of the work in creating atmosphere - our role is simply to ensure your event runs exactly as you envision it.
