About Wincott Street Hub
Our Community Hub at 25 Wincott Street brings together local residents, start-ups, and community organizations in the heart of Kennington Lambeth. We've created four distinct meeting spaces that serve different needs - from a private office perfect for one person working quietly, to our largest room that comfortably accommodates 17 people for workshops or team meetings. Each of our furnished spaces offers the flexibility that community groups and local businesses need. We partner with organizations like Lambeth Mediation Service to run community mediation programs, and Repowering London uses our rooms for their energy-saving roadshows. Recovery programs for survivors of abuse also take place here, supported by the Lambeth VAWG and Independent Advisory Groups. Every Wednesday afternoon from 2-4 pm, we open our doors for free one-to-one support sessions where local residents can get help with benefits applications, grant funding, debt advice, and food bank referrals. These sessions happen right alongside regular meeting room bookings, creating a genuine community atmosphere. Our meeting rooms work equally well for formal business presentations, community workshops, support group sessions, or training days. The spaces are secure and affordable, designed to remove barriers for grassroots initiatives and social enterprises. We've furnished each room to be functional rather than fancy - good tables, comfortable chairs, and reliable wifi are what matter most to the groups who use our spaces. Every pound generated from room hire goes directly back into maintaining these spaces and supporting community programs. We're not just renting rooms; we're providing a foundation where local initiatives can grow and people can develop their potential in a supportive environment.
