About Moondog Hifi
The walnut DJ booth at Moondog HiFi sits like a command center between our white marble bar and the exposed brick walls that have watched over East Williamsburg for decades. We built this 800-square-foot space on 119 Ingraham Street around one simple idea: music should be heard the way artists intended. That's why we installed Fyne Audio Vintage speakers paired with a McIntosh amplifier—when our vinyl DJs spin each night, you hear every note exactly as it was meant to sound. Our kitchen serves up something you won't find anywhere else in Brooklyn. Chef Einat Admony creates dishes that blur the lines between Tel Aviv and Mexico City—think Chicken Shawarma Tacos, Mushroom Al Pastor, and Baharat-spiced Lamb Molé. Behind the bar, Josef Griz crafts cocktails that follow the same philosophy. The Jaffa Old Fashioned brings together whiskey and Middle Eastern spices, while our Figroni adds Mediterranean herbs to the classic gin cocktail. When the weather cooperates, our outdoor patio fills up with groups spreading out across picnic tables and settling into the cushioned seating areas. For more intimate gatherings, we have a 300-square-foot speakeasy tucked away through a side entrance—companies book it for team meetings where they can actually hear each other, birthday parties where the music matters, and listening sessions where audiophiles dissect their favorite albums. We've hosted everything from corporate happy hours that spill from the main room onto the patio, to private buyouts where teams take over the entire space for holiday parties. The greenery we've woven throughout softens the industrial edges, creating pockets where conversations flow as easily as the cocktails. Every night brings a different sound—jazz, soul, funk, electronic—but the experience remains consistent: exceptional audio, inventive food, and a space where music lovers gather.
