When you hire the Entire Venue at Royal Institution Bar, you're securing all three of our distinctive rooms plus the impressive entrance hall for your exclusive use, creating a truly memorable setting for parties up to 150 standing guests or 80 seated. This Grade II listed building has welcomed Liverpool's cultural celebrations since 1814, and today we continue that tradition by opening our doors for weddings, milestone birthdays, corporate gatherings, and everything in between. Your guests will move freely between our Exhibition Room, where the polished wooden bar becomes the heart of the celebration, surrounded by plush quilted seating and Audubon-inspired artwork that never fails to spark conversation. The Habitat Room transforms any gathering with its deep green walls and quirky animal art, while the original fireplace adds warmth to winter celebrations. Many couples choose this space for their more intimate wedding moments. Meanwhile, our Reading Room, wrapped in rich burgundy with its library-themed walls and natural light streaming through large windows, creates that perfect speakeasy atmosphere for toasts and speeches. We've hosted countless celebrations here, from elaborate wedding receptions where guests flow between rooms for different parts of the evening, to corporate parties that use each space for distinct purposes. Our experienced bartenders serve everything from champagne toasts to our signature cocktails, and we regularly arrange cocktail masterclasses as part of the entertainment. The venue comes equipped with WiFi, PA system, and air conditioning throughout, and you're welcome to bring your own DJ to keep the dance floor alive. Just moments from Liverpool Central station on Colquitt Street, with both free street parking and nearby paid facilities, getting here couldn't be easier.
