The **Black Box Theatre** transforms into whatever you need it to be. Our 42-seat auditorium creates that rare electricity between performers and audience, where every gesture lands and each punchline hits home. We've kept the same intimate setup that helped launch careers from this very stage, with five rows of raked seating ensuring everyone gets a proper view of the 5.40m x 4.00m performance space. Artists love working with our straightforward technical setup. The Yamaha MG12/4 mixing console feeds our PA system, while the Zero 88 lighting desk controls an array of spots and coloured lights overhead. We've got microphones, stands, DI boxes, and all the XLR cables you'll need ready to go. For multimedia shows, our Acer projector throws onto a 120-inch screen, perfect for video backdrops or presentations. The space itself speaks to performers. Black painted hardboard floors and simple black curtains let your production take centre stage without distraction. Multiple access points mean creative entrances and exits, while our 3.25m grid height gives plenty of room for ambitious lighting designs. The control room sits above the audience, housing all the tech gear within easy reach. We've seen every kind of show work brilliantly here: raw stand-up sets, experimental theatre pieces, acoustic music nights, cabaret performances that spill into the audience. The room adapts to each production's needs, whether that's stark minimalism for a one-person show or full technical production for a musical revue. Our air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable during sold-out summer performances, and reliable Wi-Fi means streaming or recording is always an option. Camden Town tube station sits just 75 meters away, so your audience arrives fresh and ready. Backstage, performers find a dedicated dressing room with hair and makeup facilities, giving them space to prepare properly before taking the stage.
