The Buzz comes alive with whatever you bring to it. This 17 by 12 metre space has hosted everything from 200-guest cocktail receptions to intimate dance workshops, and we've watched countless events unfold beneath its high ceilings and abundant natural light streaming through the large windows. Walking across the semi-sprung harlequin floor, you'll notice how the space adapts to different needs. We've arranged it for 120-person conferences in theatre style, transformed it into cabaret seating for 96 guests enjoying awards dinners, and configured boardroom layouts for 60 executives during strategy sessions. The theatrical lighting system creates atmosphere whether you're hosting a product launch or a charity fundraiser, while the optional mirrored wall transforms the room for dance classes and performances. Our state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment handles presentations smoothly, and the air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable even during packed summer events. The adjustable blackout curtains give you complete control over lighting, whether you need darkness for projections or prefer the natural daylight. Free WiFi runs throughout, keeping your guests connected. The space flows naturally into our main foyer and outdoor areas, giving your guests room to network during breaks. When you need extra capacity, The Buzz connects with The Hub next door, creating options for separate catering areas or additional event space. Our Hive café team prepares everything from working lunches to formal three-course dinners, working with you to match food to your event style. The room sits fully accessible within our Selly Oak centre, with wide doorways, induction loops for hearing assistance, and level access throughout.
