The Music Room upstairs at O'Neill's transforms from Birmingham's favourite party spot on weekends to a surprisingly versatile events space during the week. Our 2022 renovation gave this room its signature look, with exposed brick walls now framing that eye-catching "Blinded by the Lights" neon sign that everyone photographs. The circular chandelier overhead creates just the right atmosphere, whether you're hosting 200 guests for a standing reception or arranging tables for 80 at a birthday dinner. We've kept the private bar up here fully stocked, which means your guests never have to venture downstairs for drinks. The DJ booth sits ready with our professional PA system, and those flatscreen TVs around the room can display anything from match highlights to presentation slides. Our projector handles corporate events brilliantly, though most bookings here are for celebrations where the stage becomes the focal point for live bands or DJs. The space works differently depending on your needs. Theatre-style, we fit 80 comfortably for presentations, while cabaret layout seats 50 with room to move between tables. For boardroom meetings, 30 people can gather around our modular tables, and classroom setup accommodates 50 with writing space. The eclectic artwork and warm lighting make even corporate events feel less formal than your typical conference room. Five Ways Station sits just minutes away, and we're surrounded by Birmingham landmarks like Symphony Hall and the National Sea Life Centre. Our kitchen downstairs sends up everything from sharing platters to full dinner service, with British and Irish dishes that pair perfectly with pints.
