Our Wonderbar occupies the most dramatic floor of the historic Terry's Chocolate Orange building, where original wood paneling from the confectionery's heyday frames a space designed for celebration. Up here on the first floor, we've kept the best architectural details - the intricate ceiling work, the antique gold accents that once watched over chocolate production, and those towering windows that flood the room with York daylight. The bar itself commands attention, fully stocked and staffed by our team who know their way around both classic cocktails and our signature botanical creations. We've arranged the space to flow naturally between different zones - high tables near the bar for mingling, comfortable booth seating along the walls for more intimate conversations, and an open floor that transforms depending on your party needs. The room holds 70 for seated dinners or opens up for 200 standing guests when you want everyone on their feet. Our stage comes equipped with professional sound and lighting systems, and we've hosted everything from live bands to drag performances here. The acoustics work particularly well thanks to those high ceilings, and the teal drapes help control both light and sound when needed. Hanging plants and greenery soften the grandeur, adding that botanical touch our regulars have come to expect.
