The Upstairs space at PJ taste brings together Sheffield's industrial heritage with modern event flexibility in our converted first-floor room. Reclaimed wood tables from local demolition projects seat up to 60 guests for dinner or accommodate 120 for standing receptions, while exposed original beams and trusses create natural divisions within the 54 Staniforth Road building. Natural light pours through our large windows during daytime events, though we've installed adjustable lighting for evening gatherings. The dedicated dance floor has hosted everything from wedding first dances to corporate team celebrations, and our AV equipment handles business presentations just as smoothly as party playlists. Our kitchen team works directly below, preparing seasonal menus that change based on what's available from local suppliers. Summer events often feature herbs and edible flowers picked fresh from our beds outside, while year-round favourites include our Sheffield cheese selection that guests consistently request. We can adapt service styles too, from formal plated dinners to relaxed buffets or canapés. The flexible layout means we regularly reconfigure the space. Last month alone, we hosted a 100-guest wedding reception with the tables arranged in long rows, a product launch using every corner for display stations, and several corporate training sessions where teams needed both presentation space and breakout areas. Getting here couldn't be simpler, with free parking spaces right outside and regular bus routes along Staniforth Road. Our electric delivery vans, charged by the solar panels overhead, often make room for guest vehicles during events.
