When the sun streams through our floor-to-ceiling windows and catches the canal water just right, our Casual Dining Area transforms into something quite special. We've watched countless celebrations unfold here, from milestone birthdays where guests spilled out onto the heated balcony to toast the birthday person, to engagement parties that lasted well into the evening with the Birmingham skyline twinkling in the background. The space seats up to 55 people comfortably, though we find the sweet spot for really memorable gatherings is around 40, giving everyone room to mingle between the plush booths and contemporary seating areas. Our design mixes warm wood tones with modern touches, while trailing plants cascade from the ceiling and artistic light fixtures cast a gentle glow as evening approaches. What makes this area particularly versatile is how it flows. Corporate teams love booking it for their festive parties, taking advantage of the natural division between dining and socialising spaces. The heated outdoor balcony becomes an extension of your celebration, where guests naturally gravitate with drinks in hand to watch the narrowboats drift past. Getting here couldn't be simpler. We're a comfortable 10-minute stroll from New Street, Snowhill, and Moor Street stations, with Symphony Hall and the International Convention Centre practically on our doorstep. The Brindleyplace tram stop is even closer if you prefer. Our kitchen team works closely with party organisers to create menus that suit your celebration, whether that's canapés and cocktails for a standing reception or a full sit-down feast. The canal views provide an ever-changing backdrop to your event, particularly stunning at sunset when the water reflects the golden hour light throughout the dining space.
