When you step through the doors of the Robert Adam Room, the first thing that strikes you is how the afternoon sunlight plays across the polished wooden floors, creating a warm, golden atmosphere that immediately puts guests at ease. We've carefully preserved the original chandeliers during our recent renovation, and they cast beautiful patterns across the ceiling's intricate plasterwork, especially during evening celebrations. This ground-floor space has become one of our most versatile rooms, equally suited to wedding receptions and corporate presentations. The large windows flood the room with natural light throughout the day, while our adjustable lighting system transforms it into something more intimate for evening events. We can accommodate 150 guests for standing receptions, making it perfect for cocktail parties or networking events, or set it up with round tables for 60 for a seated dinner. The bar area adds a practical touch that our guests particularly appreciate. We've watched countless successful product launches here, with the bar serving welcome drinks while presentations run smoothly using our Bluetooth sound system. For corporate clients, we often arrange the space theatre-style for 80 delegates, or classroom-style for 40 when training sessions require desk space. The cabaret layout works beautifully for 30 guests who want to combine dining with presentations. Our air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable during packed summer celebrations or intense board meetings. The combination of period features and modern amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi throughout, means your event runs smoothly whilst maintaining the character of this historic Merchant City building. We work closely with our catering partners to ensure the room layout complements your menu choices, whether that's canapés circulating during a drinks reception or a formal three-course dinner.
