About Trades Hall of Glasgow
The Grand Hall takes your breath away every time - our baroque chandeliers catch the afternoon light through the seven-metre dome, creating patterns across the late Victorian plasterwork that photographs never quite capture. We've been welcoming guests to Trades Hall of Glasgow since 1794, right here in the heart of Merchant City, and each of our five function rooms tells its own story. Our spaces work beautifully for both meetings and celebrations. The Grand Hall accommodates up to 250 guests and remains our most requested room for weddings and large corporate presentations. Meanwhile, our smaller rooms provide focused settings for board meetings, training sessions, or intimate dinner parties. We've installed high-speed fibre optic broadband throughout the building, and our state-of-the-art air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable year-round - essential when you're hosting a summer conference or winter celebration. We partner with Regis Banqueting and Top Class Catering, who know our kitchens inside out and create menus specifically for each event. Our architectural lighting system transforms the atmosphere from bright and businesslike for daytime meetings to warm and atmospheric for evening receptions. The building's original features - the ornate cornicing, the period fireplaces, the grand staircase - provide natural talking points that help break the ice at networking events. You can book individual rooms or take exclusive use of the entire building. Our team helps coordinate room layouts, whether you need theatre-style seating for 200 or round tables for a gala dinner.
