Red leather bench seating curves along one wall, where generations of Hampstead locals have clinked glasses and shared stories. We've combined the Assembly Room with the Lady Hamilton Room to create this characterful space that keeps all the quirks you'd expect from our Grade II listed building - the slightly uneven floors that tell their own history, those original wood panels that have darkened beautifully over the decades. The room works brilliantly for different setups. We can arrange wooden tables and chairs for 40 guests if you're planning a sit-down birthday dinner or anniversary celebration, or clear the floor for up to 70 people when you want everyone mingling with drinks in hand. Those pendant lamps we've hung throughout cast just the right amount of light - enough to read the menu, soft enough to be flattering after a few pints. Our walls tell their own stories through the collection of framed artwork and old mirrors we've gathered over the years. Each piece has found its way here somehow, creating that layered, lived-in feel you can't fake. The green upholstered benches along the walls give your guests somewhere comfortable to perch between conversations, and we've noticed they're particularly popular during longer celebrations. Getting here couldn't be easier - Hampstead Underground station is just a few minutes' walk away on the Northern Line. We've hosted everything in this space from 50th birthday parties that go on until closing, to christening lunches where three generations squeeze around the tables. The room connects naturally to our bar area, so your guests can easily pop out for a quick drink order without missing the speeches. Our kitchen serves the full menu here throughout your event, from our AA Rosette dishes to simpler pub favorites that always hit the spot during a celebration.
