The Party Room at Cathay Rendezvous combines Georgian grandeur with the warmth of traditional Chinese hospitality. When you book our first-floor space, you're getting more than just four walls and a ceiling, you're stepping into a piece of Bristol history that's been hosting celebrations since 1986. Your guests will appreciate the flood of natural light from our original 1738 windows, which catches the crystal drops of our ornate chandelier throughout the day. The soft yellow walls and plush blue carpeting create an atmosphere that works equally well for formal corporate dinners or relaxed birthday parties. With capacity for 50 people, we can arrange the room however suits your event best, whether that's round tables with lazy Susans for sharing our famous Peking duck, theatre-style seating for presentations using our large projection screen, or an open floor plan for mingling at drinks receptions. The high ceilings give the space an airy feel, while our air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable even when the dance floor heats up. Speaking of which, we have full karaoke facilities ready to go whenever your party wants to turn up the energy. Our 1am alcohol license means there's no rush to wrap things up just as the evening gets going. Our King Street location puts you minutes from Bristol Old Vic and the harbour, making it easy for guests to find us. The building itself, a Grade II* listed former library, adds character that modern venues simply can't match. We don't charge venue hire fees, so your budget goes entirely towards the authentic Mandarin, Cantonese and Szechuan dishes our kitchen prepares fresh for your event. Tuesday through Sunday, noon to midnight, we're ready to help you create exactly the celebration you have in mind.
