Step into the Fourth Form Room and you're immediately surrounded by four centuries of names carved into dark wood panels, including Churchill and Byron who once sat in this very space. We've preserved every detail of this 1615 room while ensuring it works perfectly for modern celebrations and gatherings. The magnificent stone fireplace commands attention, creating natural warmth that draws guests together. Above, the original timber ceiling soars, while leaded windows frame views across Harrow on the Hill. When evening falls, we light candles throughout the room, their glow catching the crystal glassware we set on our round dining table. For private dinners, we can seat up to 10 guests around our central table, where many describe feeling like they're dining in a piece of living history. The fixed wooden benches that line the walls tell their own stories, bearing the marks of centuries of use. For drinks receptions, the room comfortably holds 30 guests who often spend the evening discovering the famous names etched into every surface. Our kitchen team excels at creating menus that match the room's character, from formal multi-course dinners to relaxed canapé receptions. We cater for all dietary requirements including halal, kosher, vegan and gluten-free options. The bar stays open until 1am, and yes, we're fully licensed. The Fourth Form Room sits within our Old Schools Building, just five minutes' walk from Harrow-on-the-Hill station. We've added modern essentials like WiFi and air conditioning without disturbing the historic atmosphere. Worth noting: all proceeds from hiring this room go directly to our bursary fund, helping talented students attend Harrow regardless of their financial circumstances.
