The Lord Provost room takes its name from Glasgow's civic tradition, offering 306 square metres of flexible event space right in the heart of the city. We regularly transform this room from corporate conferences during the week to spectacular wedding receptions at weekends, with enough space for 280 guests at round tables or 350 in theatre-style rows. Multiple crystal chandeliers illuminate the space, creating pools of warm light that catch the intricate patterns in our deep-pile carpeting. The panelled walls provide an elegant backdrop that works equally well for formal gala dinners or relaxed celebration parties. We've hosted everything from charity auctions to milestone birthday celebrations here, and the neutral décor means you can add your own colour schemes and decorations to match your vision. The room's versatility really shines through in how we can configure it. For corporate presentations, we often set up theatre-style seating for 350, complete with staging and AV equipment. Wedding couples tend to prefer our banquet layout with round tables of ten, leaving plenty of space for a dance floor. We can also arrange U-shape seating for 110 when clients need a more collaborative setup for workshops or training days. Getting here couldn't be easier, with both Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations just a ten-minute walk away. Your guests can explore the city centre shops before arriving, or take a quick detour to see the Glasgow Cathedral if they're early. The central location means taxis are always available, and there's good access for suppliers delivering flowers, equipment or entertainment for your event. Our events team works closely with you to ensure every detail is covered, from menu planning to technical requirements, helping create exactly the atmosphere you're looking for in this grand yet adaptable space.
