The Plant Room at Freight Island transforms what could be just another event space into something far more interesting. Transparent roofing with hessian blinds floods the room with natural light, while the sides open up to blur the boundaries between inside and out, giving you flexibility whatever Manchester's weather decides to do. We've filled the space with proper greenery - not just a token plant here and there, but enough tropical foliage to make you forget you're in an old railway depot. The artificial grass underfoot and wooden benches scattered with bright cushions create a garden party atmosphere, even in the middle of winter. The private bar keeps your guests happy without queuing, and our small stage with full sound system handles everything from band performances to corporate presentations.
