Paper lanterns cast a gentle glow across the Function Suite, where boats glide past floor-to-ceiling windows throughout your event. We've arranged this historic space at The Dickens Inn to make the most of St Katharine Docks' marina views, positioning round tables so every guest enjoys the waterside scenery while they celebrate. Our original timber beams stretch overhead, complemented by exposed brick walls that give the room its distinctive character. For evening parties, we string delicate lights between the beams, creating an intimate atmosphere as daylight fades over the marina. The suite comfortably hosts 200 guests for cocktail receptions or 150 seated around tables dressed in crisp linens with coordinating chair covers. Behind our self-contained bar, your dedicated bartender serves drinks without anyone needing to leave the celebration. We've installed proper AV equipment throughout, including screens and microphones that make speeches crystal clear, whether you're hosting a wedding reception or corporate celebration. The wooden flooring handles dancing beautifully once dinner plates are cleared and the music starts. Natural light pours through those panoramic windows during daytime events, illuminating the rustic features that make this space so photogenic. Wedding parties particularly love how the marina creates a constantly changing backdrop for photos, with sailing boats and the occasional barge adding movement to the scene.
