The Roof Studio's wooden curved shell ribbon roof catches everyone by surprise. Sarah Wigglesworth's architectural masterpiece spans 12.5 by 16.7 metres of pure creative potential, where historic Victorian bones meet contemporary design in the most unexpected ways. We've watched this space transform for hundreds of different celebrations, from 200-guest cocktail receptions to intimate 90-person cabaret evenings, and it never fails to spark conversation. Natural light pours through our large windows during daytime events, playing across the warm wooden flooring and walls in ways photographers absolutely love. Come evening, we help you create completely different moods with ambient lighting that turns the curved ceiling into something quite magical. The high-quality harlequin flooring feels wonderful underfoot, though we can remove the linoleum overlay when your event calls for regular shoes rather than dance wear. Our minimalist approach means you genuinely have a blank canvas here. We've hosted wedding ceremonies with 100 seated guests who've told us the acoustics during vows were perfect, corporate workshops that used every corner for breakout sessions, and birthday parties where children turned the entire space into their playground. Great location and easy to find. The meeting room has a good size for a small meeting. However it is a bit tight for 16 ppl with a boardroom set up. Classroom set up would be fine though. The projector works well, but bring speakers if you need sound. The reception kind...

This was a big room in a friendly and informal atmosphere, with an excellent self-service make-it-yourself tea and coffee station. Close to the Imperial War Museum, which has a very good cafe.

Great to have use of a kitchen - although no properly clean cups or fresh tea towels (that I could see). Relaxed room with the couches. It was very hot though. Good location being handy to tube stations. Staff very helpful to check I had what I needed in the room.
