Pull back the heavy curtain at the rear of our pub and you'll discover the Back Room, where rich wood paneling and deep burgundy walls create an atmosphere that feels like stepping into a private members' club. This intimate space has hosted everything from surprise 40th birthdays to baby showers, with up to 30 guests mingling over drinks or 15 settling in for a proper sit-down dinner. The room's character comes from its Victorian bones, those original wood panels catching the warm light from our wall sconces while patterned armchairs invite guests to sink in and stay awhile. We've arranged the dark wooden tables to encourage conversation, whether you're planning a reunion dinner or gathering friends for pre-theatre drinks. Natural light filters through the windows during afternoon celebrations, though most parties here tend to stretch into the evening when the space takes on an even cosier feel. That curtain separation from the main bar works brilliantly, you get your own private corner while still feeling connected to the gentle buzz of the pub.
