The polished wooden floors gleam beneath the high ceilings of the Newmarket Suite, where natural light pours through tall windows creating an atmosphere that shifts beautifully throughout the day. We've hosted everything from milestone birthday parties to corporate celebrations in this adaptable space, and the room's character changes with each event. Those original Corn Exchange windows frame the space beautifully, and when evening arrives, our adjustable lighting system takes over. You can bathe the room in warm amber for cocktail receptions or choose vibrant colours that match your party theme. The modern wall paneling provides a clean backdrop for decorations, while the wooden floors have seen their share of dancing feet during countless celebrations. For presentations or party entertainment, we've installed a built-in screen and AV projector that handles everything from photo montages to live performances. The room comfortably holds 120 guests for drinks receptions, where people naturally gather near the windows during daylight hours, or 100 seated for more formal celebrations. We often see the space transformed for surprise parties, anniversary celebrations, and company award ceremonies. The suite works brilliantly as part of larger events too. Wedding parties frequently use it as their evening reception space after ceremonies elsewhere in the building, while corporate groups book it for breakout sessions between main presentations. The separate access means your guests can move freely without disrupting other events. Being part of the historic Corn Exchange building on New Market Road gives the space real character, and the convenience of Slateford station nearby plus our complimentary parking takes the stress out of getting here. Saltire Hospitality creates menus specifically for your celebration, whether that's canapés and champagne or a full buffet spread.
