Our Combined Fettercairn & Jura Suite transforms from boardroom to ballroom with the simple slide of a partition wall. These two interconnected spaces on the upper floors of The Scotsman Hotel create Edinburgh's most versatile party venue, where up to 230 guests can flow between the elegant interior rooms and our private outdoor terrace. The magic happens when you step outside. String lights weave overhead across the terrace, creating an enchanted garden feel high above the city streets. We've furnished this outdoor space with wooden tables and wicker seating clusters where guests naturally gather as the evening progresses. When Edinburgh's castle lights up at dusk, your party gains a backdrop that no decorator could replicate. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows keep the spaces bright during daytime celebrations, while our AV system handles everything from wedding playlists to corporate presentations. The Fettercairn side works beautifully as your main party space, with the Jura section serving as a welcome area, bar setup, or quiet retreat for conversations away from the dance floor. For seated dinners, we configure tables for 120 guests across both rooms. Our kitchen team creates menus ranging from traditional Scottish fare to contemporary British dishes, all prepared in-house. The bar stays open until 1am, giving your celebration plenty of time to unfold. Being moments from Waverley Station means guests arriving by train can walk to your event in minutes. We've hosted golden anniversaries that started with afternoon tea and evolved into ceilidh dancing, product launches where the terrace became an outdoor showroom, and wedding receptions where couples cut their cake as the sun set behind Edinburgh Castle.
