Screen 2 transforms what could be just another cinema space into something quite special for Newcastle events. Step through our basement entrance beneath the Grade II listed Earl Grey House, and you'll find yourself in a world of rich red velvet sofas and bold zigzag patterns that immediately set the mood for celebration. We've designed this 51-seat auditorium with comfort at its heart. Those plush velvet sofas in deep burgundy and chocolate brown aren't just for show, they're where your guests will sink in and properly enjoy themselves, whether watching a favourite film at a birthday party or settling in for corporate presentations. Each seat comes with its own wooden side table, perfect for drinks and our Spielburger menu items that we deliver straight from the kitchen. The geometric wall designs and carefully dimmed lighting create an atmosphere that works brilliantly for both professional gatherings and party celebrations. Our Sony 4K projection fills the screen with crystal-clear images, while the Dolby 7.1 sound system ensures every word of speeches or every note of party soundtracks comes through perfectly. Grey Street's central location means your guests can easily reach us, with excellent transport links throughout Newcastle. Being tucked away in our basement gives events a sense of privacy and escape from the city buzz above, though you're still perfectly placed to continue celebrations at nearby bars and restaurants. Before or after your main event, our lounge bar with its walnut paneling and original parquet floors provides the ideal space for mingling. We regularly see groups using Screen 2 for birthday film screenings, corporate parties combining presentations with entertainment, and celebration events where the whole auditorium becomes one big private party space.
