The Bar Area transforms from our daily drinking and dining spot into your private celebration space, where rustic wooden tables can be rearranged to suit everything from cocktail receptions to buffet-style birthday bashes. Up to 100 of your guests can mingle beneath our signature canopy of greenery, with natural light flooding through large windows during daytime events and atmospheric lighting taking over come evening. Our dedicated bar team stays close at hand, mixing botanical cocktails and pouring craft ales while your party unfolds across the spacious layout. An events coordinator works alongside you, handling the details so you can focus on your guests. We've designed bespoke packages that include welcome drinks, drink vouchers and buffet options, though we're happy to adjust these to match your specific celebration. The space works brilliantly for birthday parties where guests can move freely between the bar and seating areas, networking events that benefit from our open floor plan, or wedding receptions that spill out onto our waterfront terrace when weather permits. Corporate gatherings and Christmas parties particularly love the relaxed botanical atmosphere that makes work events feel less formal. Just minutes from Cardiff Bay station and surrounded by Mermaid Quay attractions, your guests find us easily. One thing to note: depending on your group size, part of the bar may remain open to the public, creating that authentic Botanist buzz. Saturday bookings aren't available between April and August when our weekend crowds are at their peak.
