The Austin Osman Spare Room takes its name from the English occultist whose work commands attention from these walls. We've created an intimate space where up to 20 guests can gather amongst masks, skeletons and framed artworks that spark conversation long before the first cocktail arrives. Deep red velvet seating wraps around wooden tables, with plush benches and stools arranged to encourage the kind of close conversations that happen when people find themselves somewhere genuinely unusual. Candlelight flickers across the dark walls, picking out details in the curiosities displayed throughout - each piece chosen to complement Spare's mystical artwork that gives the room its character. Your party happens in what feels like a Victorian collector's private chamber. We've watched birthday groups become entranced by the skeletal displays between toasts, and seen corporate teams forget they're at a work event as they debate the origins of the masks overhead. The room connects directly to our conservatory, giving you private access to additional space when your group needs to spread out or step away from the intensity of the main collection.
