When your guests first step into The Orangery, they're met with a wall of glass that frames our Walled Garden like a living painting. We've hosted everything from fashion shows to wedding receptions in this space, and it never fails to draw gasps when people walk in. The contemporary design, with its soaring floor-to-ceiling windows, floods the room with the kind of light that makes everyone look their best in photos. The exposed brick walls and warm wooden floors create this brilliant contrast, modern meets heritage, which works whether you're planning a corporate gala or your daughter's wedding. We can seat 200 for a formal dinner, but honestly, some of our best parties have been standing receptions for 300, where guests spill out onto the terrace on summer evenings. The space transforms beautifully too, from boardroom setups for 100 to cabaret-style for 150, depending on what you need. Our twinkling white dance floor gets plenty of use, especially when paired with the fully stocked bar that runs the length of one wall. We've got a proper PA system installed for speeches and entertainment, plus conference call facilities if you're mixing business with celebration. The in-house catering team knows this space inside out, they'll work with you to create menus that match your event perfectly. Bring your own DJ or band, the acoustics handle live music brilliantly. Getting here couldn't be easier, we're just outside Chelmsford with the station nearby, and we've got parking for 120 cars right on site. The whole venue is wheelchair accessible, and if guests want to stay over, we've got accommodation sorted. The Orangery opens directly onto our grounds, giving you those indoor-outdoor options that make such a difference for larger celebrations.
