The polished twelve-seat table in The Byron Room catches the afternoon light perfectly, creating the kind of atmosphere where business discussions flow as smoothly as dinner conversation. We've positioned this intimate space on the second floor, right next to the Imperial Room, which gives our guests flexibility they genuinely appreciate. Rich patterned wallpaper frames an eclectic collection of paintings we've gathered over the years, each adding its own story to the room. The deep burgundy upholstered chairs complement the ornate carpet beneath, while large windows pour natural light across the wooden table's surface. Our guests often comment on how the artwork creates talking points that help break the ice at the start of meetings. We've equipped the room with everything needed for presentations: a screen, projector, and sound system that connect seamlessly to laptops. The acoustics work particularly well for video conferences, something we discovered when local firms started booking the space for hybrid meetings. While there's no dedicated bar in The Byron Room itself, we're just steps away from the Imperial Room's private bar, and our team happily arranges drink service between the spaces. The room handles 12 comfortably around the table for seated meals or boardroom-style meetings. For more casual gatherings, we can accommodate up to 20 standing, though most groups prefer the seated arrangement for its conducive atmosphere. Many event organisers book The Byron alongside the Imperial Room, using it as a quiet retreat for speakers or a VIP dining area during larger celebrations. Our kitchen serves this room throughout the day, from working breakfasts through to evening dinners. The dedicated vegan and gluten-free menus work especially well for business groups with diverse dietary requirements.
