Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the North Sea horizon in the St Mary's Lighthouse Suite, where up to 120 guests can dine whilst watching waves crash against Whitley Bay's shoreline. We've hosted everything from seaside weddings to milestone birthday parties in this versatile space, each event taking full advantage of those panoramic coastal views stretching to St Mary's Island. The suite transforms throughout the day. Morning light floods through those expansive windows, illuminating crisp white table linens and elegant candle centerpieces for corporate presentations or intimate celebrations. Come evening, the same space takes on a warmer glow, particularly stunning when the sun sets behind St Mary's Island, creating the perfect backdrop for wedding receptions or anniversary parties. Our private bar keeps drinks flowing without guests missing a moment of their celebration, while dedicated toilets mean no queuing in the main building. We've equipped the suite with a full PA system, and many parties bring in our resident DJ to keep the dance floor busy until late. The space comfortably accommodates 250 guests for standing receptions, giving plenty of room for mingling during cocktail parties or networking events. Accessibility matters to us, so we've ensured full disabled access throughout the suite, including adapted facilities.
