Book-lined shelves and trailing plants frame the Event Venue, where up to 40 guests can gather for celebrations, workshops, or private parties amongst our signature greenery. We've designed this space at the back of The Travel Cafe to feel less like a typical function room and more like hosting friends in a particularly well-equipped living room. The room fills with natural light through large windows running along one side, illuminating the mix of rustic wooden tables and contemporary seating we've arranged throughout. Our exposed brick walls and warm wooden floors create that relaxed atmosphere many of our guests comment on, while the abundance of plants gives everything a fresh, garden-party feel even in the middle of winter. We've set things up to work for different occasions, whether you're planning drinks and canapés for 40 or arranging tables for a sit-down meal with 20. The space includes high-speed Wi-Fi and a large screen for any presentations or photo slideshows you might want to share. Our famous Monmouth coffee flows freely throughout your event, and we can arrange additional refreshments or point you towards excellent local caterers who know our space well. Getting here couldn't be easier, with both Waterloo and Lambeth North stations just minutes away on foot. The surrounding area offers plenty of dining options for pre or post-event gatherings, and there's nearby parking if some guests prefer to drive. What our guests particularly love is how the venue photographs, though as one recent reviewer noted, even the pictures don't quite capture how light and upbeat the space feels in person. The combination of books, plants, and our helpful team creates an atmosphere where formal presentations feel more engaging and parties feel wonderfully intimate.
