The Ebor Room catches afternoon light through its generous windows, drawing your eye straight to York's ancient city walls and our manicured lawns beyond. We've hosted countless wedding celebrations in this intimate space, where up to 50 guests can gather for drinks and canapés while the chandeliers cast a warm glow across the high ceilings. Natural daylight transforms the room throughout the day, particularly beautiful during summer ceremonies when the sun streams through those tall windows. We often see couples pause here, taking in the views across our three-acre gardens while their photographer captures the historic stonework in the background. The neutral palette works brilliantly with whatever colour scheme you envision, whether that's cascading florals for a spring wedding or rich burgundy accents for an autumn celebration. For evening receptions, we arrange the space to create distinct areas for mingling and conversation. The room connects seamlessly with the Chapter House Bar, where guests naturally drift for pre-dinner drinks or late-night celebrations. Our events team knows every corner of the Ebor Room and helps you make the most of its proportions.
