The Wellington and Basing Rooms combine to create one of our most adaptable spaces, particularly popular with local businesses who need somewhere that works as hard as they do. You'll find these rooms on the ground floor, with French doors opening directly onto our courtyard, bringing in plenty of natural light during those long strategy sessions or training days. The rich red carpeting and warm lighting create a professional yet comfortable atmosphere, while the large mirrors help the space feel even more generous than its already impressive dimensions. We've kept the classic Tudor character with tasteful artwork and traditional touches, but everything practical is thoroughly modern. The projector, PA system, and reliable Wi-Fi handle whatever technology you throw at them, and the air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable whether it's a packed theatre-style presentation for 80 or an intimate boardroom discussion for 30. What really sets these rooms apart is their flexibility. We regularly reconfigure them from classroom layouts for 20 during morning training sessions to U-shaped arrangements for 30 in the afternoon, then perhaps cabaret style for 25 at an evening awards dinner. The space flows naturally between the two rooms, which can be opened up for larger gatherings or kept separate for breakout sessions. Being just two minutes from Basingstoke station makes life easier for attendees coming from London or further afield. Many appreciate being able to book rooms upstairs, turning a day meeting into a relaxed evening without worrying about the journey home. Our kitchen provides everything from working lunches to proper sit-down meals, and the courtyard access means delegates can stretch their legs between sessions without leaving the building.
