The Upper Hall carries all the architectural drama of our venue's Grade II listed heritage, with its soaring arched ceiling and Tuscan columns creating an atmosphere that's both grand and welcoming. Stone pillars march along the sides of the room, each one gently illuminated by uplights that bring out the warm tones in the masonry. Throughout the day, tinted arch windows filter natural light across the space, shifting the mood from bright morning meetings to atmospheric evening receptions. We've designed this room to adapt to your needs. The modular stage can be configured for keynote presentations or removed entirely for networking events. Our Behringer X32 PA system delivers crystal-clear audio to every corner, while the built-in projector works with both the main screen and side screens for presentations that need multiple viewing angles. Whether you arrange the space theatre-style for 250 delegates, cabaret layout for 104, or banquet seating for 120, the acoustics remain consistently excellent. The flexibility extends beyond just seating arrangements. We regularly transform the Upper Hall from morning conferences into evening reception spaces, making full use of the 200-person standing capacity. Board meetings find a distinguished home here too, with U-shaped layouts accommodating 50 participants who appreciate conducting business beneath those impressive arches.
