The Ashley Cooper Room sits tucked away in our basement, opening directly onto the courtyard garden through double doors that let you step outside between sessions. We've found this garden access particularly valuable during warmer months when groups appreciate the chance to continue conversations outdoors or simply catch some fresh air during breaks. This versatile space accommodates 40 people in theatre style, with our blue-upholstered chairs arranged to give everyone clear sightlines to the front. For more collaborative sessions, we can reconfigure to seat 25 in boardroom or U-shaped layouts, or 24 in cabaret style when you need tables for workshop materials or laptops. The room's clean, uncluttered design helps maintain focus, while the artwork on the walls adds just enough visual interest without creating distractions. We've equipped the room with everything you need for productive meetings. The ceiling-mounted projector and screen handle presentations smoothly, while the whiteboard and flipchart stand ready for brainstorming or capturing key points. Our air conditioning system keeps the temperature comfortable year-round, though some groups have mentioned the room can still feel warm during peak summer, so we always ensure plenty of water is available. Being in the basement means no direct natural light reaches the room itself, but the garden doors provide both ventilation options and a bright outdoor space just steps away. The Wash House Café upstairs can deliver refreshments directly to your room, or attendees can pop up during breaks, with coffee available from 8am and hot lunches served between noon and 2:15pm. Westminster and St James's Park stations are both about 10 minutes' walk away, making the commute straightforward for attendees coming from across London. The entire venue, including this room, has full disabled access. We regularly host training workshops, team meetings, seminars and corporate presentations here, with groups particularly appreciating our flexibility when they need to book at short notice.
