Our Kennet and Avon Room takes its name from the waterway that threads through this valley, and like that historic canal, it connects people and ideas in meaningful ways. From the Georgian windows, morning sessions catch the first light breaking across the Limpley Stoke Valley, while afternoon meetings benefit from the soft illumination that filters through, reducing any need for harsh overhead lighting. We've arranged this space to encourage conversation. The U-shaped configuration seats 20 comfortably in cushioned chairs with wooden frames, each positioned so everyone can see both the presenter and each other. This layout works particularly well for training sessions where interaction matters, though we can reconfigure the room to accommodate 40 in classroom style or up to 120 for theatre-style presentations. For networking events and informal gatherings, the space holds 60 people comfortably. The room's neutral palette creates a calm backdrop for focused work. Original architectural details from our Georgian building remain visible, while practical additions like the data projector integrate discretely into the space. We keep flip charts and stationery stocked, so your facilitators can capture ideas as they emerge. The patterned carpet helps with acoustics, ensuring voices carry clearly without echo. Between sessions, delegates often comment on the views. The surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides a refreshing contrast to screen-based presentations. Coffee breaks naturally extend onto our terrace, where conversations continue against the valley backdrop. Our location, just ten minutes from Bath, means participants can easily reach us by train or car, with both Longleat and Stonehenge nearby for those extending their stay.
