We're on the first floor of our venue, where original Georgian moldings meet practical modern touches like the flatscreen TV discreetly mounted for presentations. Twenty executives fit comfortably around the boardroom table, though we often reconfigure for classroom setups accommodating 25, or theatre style for 40 attendees. The upholstered chairs have been chosen specifically for day-long sessions, and that ornate fireplace makes an unexpected backdrop for video calls. U-shaped layouts work particularly well here, seating 37 with clear sightlines for training sessions. The gold-framed artwork and wood paneling create natural conversation points during coffee breaks, while built-in display cabinets house historical pieces that tell our venue's story. For formal dining, we seat 34 guests, with our kitchen team handling everything from working lunches to celebration dinners. Standing receptions flow nicely with up to 50 guests mingling between the fireplace and windows. Hyde Park Corner Station sits just moments away, with Victoria and Knightsbridge stations providing additional transport options for attendees coming from different directions. The projector handles everything from PowerPoint to video content, while reliable Wi-Fi keeps remote participants connected. Natural light remains consistent throughout the day, though we can adjust the drapes for presentations requiring dimmer conditions. Corporate away days often book the Selkirk Room alongside our Stuart Room, using one for breakout sessions while the other hosts refreshments. Training providers appreciate the flexible layouts, while board meetings benefit from the privacy and professional atmosphere.
