Our mahogany boardroom table has hosted thousands of committee meetings, workshops and intimate presentations since we first installed it in the David Wynter Room decades ago. This second-floor space brings together 25 years of careful curation, where the Swedenborg Collection surrounds your meeting with rare books and historical artefacts displayed in purpose-built cabinets. Natural light pours through the tall windows overlooking Bloomsbury Way, creating an atmosphere that keeps attendees engaged throughout long sessions. We've found the high ceilings particularly helpful for projection clarity, while the exhibition spot lighting we installed allows groups to dim specific areas when screening presentations on our HD projector. The portable screen can be positioned at either end of the room, depending on your preferred layout. The antique mahogany table comfortably seats 14 around its polished surface, though we can arrange additional seating to accommodate up to 25 people total. Many groups appreciate how the room's proportions allow for breakout discussions in the corners while maintaining privacy from the main table. Our complimentary Wi-Fi reaches every corner reliably, something previous tech companies have specifically mentioned in their feedback. Recent committee meetings have made good use of the surrounding Swedenborg Collection as conversation starters during breaks. The artefacts and rare volumes aren't behind glass, so attendees often browse them during coffee intervals. We keep water jugs filled throughout your booking and can arrange coffee service from our ground-floor café. The second-floor location provides quiet separation from street noise while remaining easily accessible via our main staircase. Window blinds give you complete control over lighting conditions, whether you're examining documents or watching detailed presentations. The team at Swedenborg House were all very welcoming and nothing was an issue. They helped us sort out the projector and provided a screen as well as water.
