We've preserved the original mezzanine level that makes this room particularly special, creating an intimate two-story environment that naturally separates different areas of focus. On the lower level, our lounge area comfortably accommodates boardroom meetings for up to six people. The plush seating arrangement encourages proper discussion rather than formal presentations, making it particularly effective for strategy sessions, partnership negotiations, or senior team planning. When winter arrives, the working fireplace transforms the atmosphere, though we keep it unlit during warmer months to maintain comfortable temperatures for concentration. The suite's proportions work brilliantly for focused work. Without large windows to distract, participants naturally turn their attention inward to the task at hand. We've carefully calibrated the lighting to keep energy levels steady throughout long sessions, combining warm ambient fixtures with practical task lighting where needed. Our venue provides everything required for productive meetings. The room comes equipped with standard presentation facilities, while our catering team delivers refreshments directly to the suite, minimizing disruptions. Being part of a historic manor house means thick walls that ensure complete privacy for sensitive discussions. The Merrick Suite books by the half or full day only. Half-day sessions run either 8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm, while full days extend from 8am to 6pm. This structure allows proper setup time and ensures your meeting flows without rushing. Located in Cuckfield, West Sussex, we're an easy journey from London, with ample parking in our eight-acre grounds. After your meeting concludes, the manor's restaurant and spa facilities remain available should participants wish to continue discussions over dinner or decompress before traveling home.
