Our King George III room lives up to its regal name with 544 square metres of dramatic barrel-vaulted ceilings and exposed Victorian brickwork. The solid oak floors have witnessed countless conferences, award ceremonies and company celebrations since we restored this ground floor space, preserving the period lanterns that now work alongside our AMBX intelligent LED system. We configure this room differently each week. Yesterday's pharmaceutical conference had 420 delegates in theatre-style rows facing our integrated stage and presentation screen. This weekend, we'll transform the same space for a 320-person gala dinner, with the vaulted ceiling creating an intimate atmosphere despite the room's grand scale. The PA system handles everything from keynote speeches to award ceremony announcements, while the LED lighting shifts from bright white for morning sessions to warm amber for evening receptions. The room connects directly to our main reception area, making registration smooth when hundreds of delegates arrive together. For larger conferences, we often open the adjoining doors to the Porter Tun, creating a combined space that flows naturally between sessions and networking breaks. The exposed brick walls provide excellent acoustics for presentations whilst adding character that modern conference centres simply can't replicate. Our events team positions the room entrance strategically for different setups. Classroom-style arrangements for 120 work brilliantly for training days, with natural light supplementing the atmospheric lanterns. Exhibition layouts maximise the oak flooring's durability when exhibitors wheel in heavy display units. Getting here couldn't be simpler, with Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Barbican stations all within a ten-minute walk. Our Chiswell Street location puts you right in the City, with plenty of hotels nearby for multi-day conferences. The ground floor location means no waiting for lifts when your entire company arrives for the annual meeting.
