Our I.T. Training Room brings together everything you need for effective digital learning in one thoughtfully designed space. Eight computer workstations arranged in a U-shape create the perfect environment for both individual work and group collaboration, with each participant having clear sightlines to the instructor and interactive whiteboard. Recently refurbished, the room features soft green walls that help maintain focus during intensive training sessions. We've chosen ergonomic chairs specifically for comfort during longer workshops, understanding that productive learning requires physical comfort. The generous desk space at each workstation means participants have room for notebooks, training materials, and personal items without feeling cramped. Natural light streams through the windows throughout the day, reducing eye strain and creating an energising atmosphere for learning. Combined with our modern computers and interactive whiteboard with projector, the setup supports everything from basic digital skills sessions to advanced software training. The U-shaped configuration works particularly well for demonstrations, allowing instructors to move easily between participants while maintaining engagement with the whole group. The first-floor location provides a quiet environment away from street noise, though we recognise this means the room isn't step-free. For groups requiring accessible facilities, our ground floor Mitchell Room offers an alternative space with projection capabilities. The I.T. Training Room is available at £30 per hour, with access to our kitchen facilities for refreshments during breaks. We're open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm, with extended hours until 9pm on Wednesdays. Many organisations use this space for digital inclusion workshops, software training, and computer skills courses. Being on Tenterden Street means excellent transport links, making it easy for participants to reach us from across Bury.
