The Astor Room carries quite a story. This was Lady Astor's bedroom when she lived here, and we've kept the gold leaf detailing and polished wood furniture exactly as they were restored. Three chandeliers catch the morning light beautifully through the large windows, creating patterns across the blue walls and red carpeting that change throughout the day. We can arrange the room however works best for your meeting. The boardroom setup seats 24 comfortably around our central table, while theatre style accommodates up to 40. Many groups appreciate the banquet configuration for 30 when they're combining presentations with lunch or dinner service. The paintings on the walls are originals from our collection, and yes, people do ask about them regularly. The balcony overlooking our courtyard tends to be a favorite spot during coffee breaks. There's something about stepping outside, even briefly, that helps clear heads during intense discussions. Natural light floods the space most of the day thanks to those generous windows and golden drapes, though we have excellent blackout options for presentations. Our venue provides all the technical requirements you'd expect: reliable Wi-Fi throughout, a quality projector, and PA system that actually works properly. The room benefits from proper soundproofing, so confidential discussions stay that way. We've also maintained traditional touches like the writing desk by the window, which some guests still use for signing documents or making notes between sessions. Getting here couldn't be simpler. Piccadilly Circus and Green Park stations are both within a five-minute walk through St James's Square. Our kitchen team handles everything from working breakfasts to formal lunches, with dietary requirements easily accommodated. The lift provides full accessibility to the Astor Room, ensuring all your attendees can join comfortably.
