About The Foundry
Our home at 17 Oval Way began life as a shoe polish factory, and we've transformed every corner of this industrial heritage into bright, purposeful workspace. When we redeveloped The Foundry in 2014, we won 'London Building of the Year' at the RIBA awards—but what matters more to us is creating the right environment for social justice and human rights organizations to thrive. We're a joint venture between Trust for London, Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, The Barrow Cadbury Trust, LankellyChase Foundation and The Ethical Property Company, who manages our day-to-day operations. This partnership grew from recognizing that organizations working for positive change needed proper workspace that understood their values and budgets. Walking through our converted factory floors, you'll find office spaces that work for teams of 2 right up to 48 people. Our meeting rooms come fully equipped for everything from intimate strategy sessions to larger workshops. The conference hall regularly hosts sector gatherings, while our exhibition areas showcase campaigns and research. We've installed eco-friendly heating and cooling throughout, keeping comfort levels right while minimizing environmental impact. Three roof terraces give you breathing space between meetings—particularly popular when the sun makes an appearance. Our on-site café means you don't need to venture far for lunch or that essential coffee. We provide free Wi-Fi across the building, secure 24/7 access for when work runs late, and our reception team during office hours. Accessibility runs through everything we do. Step-free entrances, wheelchair-friendly facilities, and induction loops in our conference rooms ensure everyone can participate fully.
