About Colony Silk Street
Right off Cutting Room Square, that's where you'll find us at Colony Silk Street. I walk through that square every morning and it never gets old—proper Manchester character with all those converted mills and warehouses around us. We can fit 100 people in our main event space, though most days you'll find smaller groups tucked away in our meeting rooms, all catching decent daylight through the big windows. The rooftop terrace is my favorite spot—on a clear day, you can see right across the city. Makes for brilliant networking events when the weather cooperates. Everything just works here. The Wi-Fi doesn't let you down mid-presentation, the AV kit is straightforward (no hunting for adapters), and we keep fresh coffee flowing all day. Bring your own lunch if you want, work from the phone booths when you need privacy, or spread out in the breakout areas. Oh, and dogs are welcome—we've got a few regulars who brighten everyone's day. People book workshops, board meetings, team sessions here. Last week someone said the booking was the easiest they'd done all year, which made my day. Both train stations are walking distance, so nobody's ever stuck trying to find us. Manchester's creative crowd has really taken to this place.
