The Studio at First Option Studio feels like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of London's industrial past, where original Scots pine trusses stretch across the ceiling and sanded wooden floors tell stories of the Victorian factory that once stood here. This 1,000 square foot space has become one of Shoreditch's most sought-after wedding venues, hosting up to 100 guests for drinks receptions or 85 for seated celebrations. Walking across the original wooden floors, you'll notice how natural light pours through the large Crittall windows, creating that perfect golden hour glow photographers dream about. We've installed blackout blinds for moments when you want more intimate lighting control, but most couples prefer keeping them open to showcase the character of the space. The high-pitched roof creates an almost barn-like atmosphere that feels both grand and intimate, while exposed brick walls add warmth and texture to your wedding photos. A spiral staircase winds up to our mezzanine level, where guests often gather for cocktails or quieter conversations. This elevated space offers photographers brilliant angles for capturing your first dance or speeches from above. Many couples use it as a dedicated area for their wedding party or as a more relaxed lounge zone later in the evening. The combination of hanging greenery and carefully positioned warm lighting transforms the industrial bones into something truly romantic. We provide access from 9am to 11:30pm, giving you plenty of time for setup, celebrations, and those last precious moments on the dance floor. There's no corkage fee, so you're free to bring your own selection of wines and champagne. You'll find us on Kingsland Road, just a short walk from both Hoxton and Old Street stations. We even have on-site parking in our private courtyard, making arrival stress-free for suppliers and guests who prefer to drive.
