About 73 Waterloo at St John's
Eight-meter-high ceilings soar above our main event space at 73 Waterloo at St John's, where decorative murals catch the light streaming through restored windows. We've spent five years and £5 million bringing this Grade II* listed church back to life with architect Eric Parry, and the results speak for themselves when you see 270 guests dining beneath those historic arches. Our Nave transforms from morning conference space to evening gala venue - we've hosted everything from awards ceremonies with 500 standing guests to intimate wedding dinners where the acoustics make speeches ring beautifully. Beyond the main hall, you'll find our Foyer welcoming arrivals, the atmospheric Old Crypt for breakout sessions, and the Forum for more contemporary gatherings. The Octavia/Mendelssohn Room offers another distinctive space for smaller groups. We handle the technical details in-house: AV systems, PA equipment, and Wi-Fi throughout the building. Our catering team works from the venue kitchen, and yes, we have a proper dance floor when your corporate event turns celebratory. The building floods with natural daylight during daytime events - something our corporate clients particularly appreciate during long conference days. Sustainability drives our operations here. Solar panels crown the roof, and we're installing heat pump infrastructure as we work toward net-zero carbon by 2030. It's not just about preserving history; it's about securing the venue's future too. Step out our doors and you're facing Waterloo Station - trains, tubes, and buses all within a two-minute walk. The South Bank's restaurants and riverside walks stretch out nearby when your guests want to explore before or after events. We're genuinely excited about what we've created here: a working piece of London's heritage ready for your next gathering.
