We've been welcoming guests to The Albert Square Chop House since opening in Manchester's Memorial Hall, where British heritage meets contemporary dining. Our Grade II-listed building houses two distinct spaces - the buzzing bar area upstairs and our main restaurant below, both featuring the original architectural details that make this venue so special. Our kitchen team prepares classic British dishes with their own creative touches, working with local suppliers to bring you the freshest ingredients Manchester has to offer. Whether you're joining us for a business lunch or planning your wedding reception, we've got the right space for you. The Memorial Hall transforms beautifully for larger gatherings, accommodating up to 120 guests. We've equipped it with everything modern events need - a private lift for easy access, dedicated bar service, and cloakrooms for your convenience. For smaller meetings or intimate celebrations, our Thomas Worthington Suite welcomes up to 30 people and comes complete with IT facilities and those stunning views across to Manchester Town Hall. We're proud to welcome families and their four-legged friends too. You'll find free Wi-Fi throughout the building and full disabled access via our lifts. Our experienced events team handles everything from corporate conferences to wedding receptions, working closely with you to ensure every detail runs smoothly. Please note that The Albert Square Chop House closed its doors in 2021, with The Fountain House now operating in this beautiful space under the Metropolitan Pub Company. While we're no longer serving our signature chops and British classics, the Memorial Hall continues to host events in this remarkable setting at the heart of Manchester's civic quarter.
