About Ann's Smart School of Cookery

Our founder Ann Hood, who you might recognize from BBC MasterChef, leads classes alongside our professional chefs, sharing the techniques and tricks that make cooking feel less like work and more like play. Picture your group of up to 16 people gathered around our teaching stations, chopping herbs from local farms while Ann demonstrates how to fold perfect dim sum or shows the art of making artisan sausages from scratch. We keep things hands-on here - after discussing the menu together, we split into small groups where everyone gets their hands dirty (don't worry, we provide the aprons). You'll prep, cook, and plate dishes under our chefs' guidance, then sit down together to enjoy what you've created. Our kitchen setup means everyone can see and participate properly, whether you're learning knife skills or mastering the perfect pasta dough. We source ingredients from nearby suppliers, so the vegetables are crisp, the herbs fragrant, and everything tastes as fresh as it should. The atmosphere stays relaxed even as you're learning professional techniques - there's usually plenty of laughter mixed with the sizzle of pans. For corporate groups and private parties, we've found cooking together breaks down barriers in ways traditional team activities can't match.
